Adding a free resource listing We are no longer offering listings to sites on free hosted servers. Those in the database will be removed and new listings will not be approved. If your site is on a free host it will not be worth your while to submit it. We offer further explanation here. If you are currently using a free host but would like to be included in our resource directory please click here for free hosting options offered by birdlife.com Adding a resource is very easy. Just follow the instructions exactly as you fill out the form. Most fields are not "required", but it is in your best interest to include as much information as possible to help our visitors who are always looking for breeders and resources in their areas. You will have full control of your listing at all times. You need only remember your email address to make changes to your listing. It is your responsibility to keep you listing up to date. Obsolete listings will be deleted without notice. I will no longer edit listings or add listings. The new software we have installed was chosen specifically to reduce our workload and to help those who have a listing keep it up to date. One important thing to know is that your listing will not work properly unless you include the http:// part of your website address. If you type www.whatever.com, it will NOT work. The instructions are very clear about this on the form, please follow them! If you find your listing has not been added log in and check to see that you used a correct website address including the http:// part. Most listings will be added the same day. They are not automatic because of unscrupulous people adding links to things not related to birds.... things we don't want our children to see! Remember this is a free listing service. Paid listings will be available when the site structure has been completed. We reserve the right to terminate this free service at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to deny free listings at our discretion. Multiple listings in the same category will be deleted. If you have different descriptions put them all in one ad for that category. |
